Customs & Import Duties Policy

 

When goods are shipped from Hong Kong to overseas destinations, orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, VAT, clearance charges, or other related fees imposed by the destination country or region.

All Duties and Related Charges Are the Customer’s Responsibility

For all orders shipped by Happycooking HK to destinations outside Hong Kong and Macau, any customs duties, import taxes, clearance fees, VAT, or other applicable charges imposed by the destination country or region are not included in the order total. If such charges arise, they shall be borne and paid by the recipient / customer.

Duties Are Determined by Local Customs Authorities

Whether customs duties are payable, as well as the actual amount charged, applicable standards, and handling procedures, are determined by the customs authorities or relevant government departments of the destination country or region in accordance with local laws and regulations. Happycooking HK is unable to guarantee, estimate, or control such charges in advance.

Customs Clearance and Delivery Arrangements

If local customs authorities require the customer to provide information, pay duties or taxes, or complete customs clearance procedures, the customer must handle such requirements in accordance with the instructions provided by the local customs authorities or logistics company. If a shipment is delayed, returned, destroyed, or incurs additional charges due to the customer’s failure to provide the required information, make payment, or complete customs clearance procedures in a timely manner, all related responsibilities and costs shall be borne by the customer.
